Why should voters elect you?
"I offer a parent perspective, relevant business experience, 10 years' education activism and strong decision-making skills. Serving on the board will be my primary job."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The most important challenge is to improve the academic performance of all students. This requires careful alignment of resources to close learning and achievement gaps, hire and retain highly qualified teachers, offer needed programs and services and to relieve overcrowding. The county continues to grow, and the needs of our students increase. With state and federal funding uncertain, we must develop a plan to accomplish what we need to within financial constraints. Making tough decisions means gathering and analyzing all relevant information. Our children and our citizens deserve the best possible education system, so we need to focus on excellence."
