Why should voters elect you?
"I'll work to build consensus among city leaders and parents to affect real, measurable reform. Your children have a voice on the board with me."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"For decades, the school board allowed incompetence and cronyism to build a failing, dysfunctional school system. In 1997 the system was plunged into receivership for illegally running two sets of books. In August the board publicly told superintendent candidate Carl Cohn that corruption and cronyism is an integral part of the D.C. jobs machine they intend to protect. Eight of nine board members have no children in the schools, and it shows. As a parent with our children's education at stake, I have the courage to push for integrity, open finances and every dollar showing up in the classroom."
