Why should voters elect you?
"I am an experienced leader with a sound record. I have demonstrated a commitment to improve accountability, raise academic standards and increase student achievement."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"During my tenure as a school board member, our school system has endured many changes. The challenges we face today in District 2 raise several concerns for the Board of Education and the superintendent. One major concern is the needed improvements to our facility management division and the capital improvement plan. Our school buildings are old and in need of major repairs. I was a chairman of the committee on facilities, and the board took serious steps to address this on-going problem. Through the board's leadership and community participation, the master facilities plan was developed. More funding is needed."
