Why should voters elect you?
"I am a parent, longtime DCPS volunteer and civil rights activist, with an MBA and experience in facilities modernization and turning around underperforming businesses."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"DCPS must articulate a compelling vision for our city's public education and align budget, standards, curriculum, testing and professional development with this vision. It must fully fund facilities maintenance, ensure every child can read by second grade and improve communication with parents. The system must improve transparency of budget process and management and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of central administration. We must improve principal and teacher accountability while expanding professional development opportunities. Finally, DCPS must be more prepared to accept assistance from parents, the private sector and city agencies. I request your support so I can tackle these challenges."
