Why should voters elect you?
"Parents need a strong advocate on our school board. As a former teacher, I know what it takes to help students and schools perform."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"D.C. spends more per pupil on education than almost any other city in the nation, yet our schools consistently rank among the worst. We can, and must, do better. We must put dollars into the classrooms where they make a real difference. We must free teachers and principals from red tape, encourage innovation and demand results. We must expect more of parents and involve them in their children's education. I will make sure our school board respects the views of parents and taxpayers, and that all of our children receive the high-quality education to which they are entitled, no excuses."
