Why should voters elect you?
"I will organize a citywide holiday on Oct. 1 to encourage the greatest number of people to go to Congress and demand their rights."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Without statehood, D.C. residents will continue to be second-class citizens. We must have voting representation in Congress, oversight of the courts and be able to pass laws that cannot be overturned by representatives from other states. D.C. Statehood is the only guarantor of these rights. Our locally elected officials are not fighting hard enough to gain equal rights for D.C. residents. We need to try new ideas to mobilize District residents for lobbying up on Capitol Hill. With your vote, I pledge to put D.C.'s second-class status in the national spotlight until we become the 51st state."
