What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"There is an urgent need to relieve traffic congestion throughout Northern Virginia. We have the third-largest state-maintained road network in the country, and we can better maintain it by raising the current 17.5-cent gasoline tax by 5.5 cents to increase revenue while remaining competitive with neighboring states. The new governor also needs to call a special legislative session to find another dedicated funding source for road and rail construction. But nothing is more important than public education. I supported Gov. Warner's tax reform and budget plans last year, which provided a record $1.5 billion increase in public school funding."
