Why should voters elect you?
"I work hard to listen to all sides, ask tough questions, seek critical information and think through the future results of any decision before me."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Many household budgets have been stretched thin by five years of large property assessment increases without equal decreases in the tax rate. I support a homestead exemption to reduce the tax rate on all owner-occupied homes by 20 percent; however, I oppose a simple cap on the increases because hot properties get a much bigger benefit, creating an unfair tax advantage that grows every year. I'll continue to fight for more state school funds. In 2004, my efforts changed the formula for the first time in over two decades to give Fairfax at least $14 million more annually."
