What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The most urgent issue is traffic congestion caused by rapid growth without concurrent investment in transportation infrastructure. The pending job growth at Fort Belvoir will present many challenges but will also provide an opportunity to work for improved road access (finishing the Fairfax County Parkway) and public transportation, including an extension of the Blue Line. This year, $848 million was invested in transportation, in addition to $60 million for Metro and Virginia Railway Express cars. In the 43rd District, the new funding will be used to upgrade Telegraph Road from Hayfield Road north to the South Kings Highway split."
