Why should voters elect you?
"I will work to get rail to Fort Belvoir and Dumfries, to beautify Virginia, and to introduce fiscally conservative and socially responsible legislation."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"We need rail now! We need more trains and less traffic in District 44. We need rail service to Fort Belvoir and on to Dumfries. Forty-two thousand Americans die on our highways each year. Three hundred thousand are injured in auto accidents. We need rail now. Rail is safer and conserves gasoline. Rail reduces air pollution and water pollution by reducing traffic. Rail reduces dependency on foreign oil. Light rail above the service roads along Route 1 could be constructed in about two years, funded by the commonwealth, the county or homeland security at no additional cost to the taxpayers."
