The Audi TT is nothing short of breathtaking. With a glorious rounded shape, and a designer that paid serious attention to all exposed surfaces, it's like modern art on wheels. At the Washingon Auto Show a few months ago, people lined up just to sit in it. The interior is a cocoon of postmodern design, with brushed aluminum trim, exposed rivets and a monochromatic color scheme. With a turbocharged engine, acceleration is head-snapping, and while some purists bristle at front-wheel drive, the car feels stable in all manners of maneuvers. The only possible drawback to this vehicle is that some may mistake it for the new VW Beetle, but you're far more likely to watch heads turn admiringly as you pass. A roadster version has just been released, but the convertible top somewhat dilutes the purity of the lines. Added bonus: This vehicle has the coolest fuel filler cap in the history of cars.
