"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," the first in a series of film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's best-selling children's books, is expected to be one of the most popular movies of the holiday season. Every Muggle and his brother seem eager to see this story of a young boy who attends a school for wizards and fights the forces of evil. So how can you make sure you get your hands on a ticket, short of casting a spell? We've got two words for you: advance sales.
Many theaters in the Washington area (not to mention movietickets.com, Moviefone and Fandango) already are selling tickets to the highly anticipated destined-to-be blockbuster. Here's a list of cinemas in D.C., Maryland and Virginia where "Potter" will play and where tickets currently are being sold. (We will update this list as soon as we receive additional information.) So scroll down, select the cineplex of your choice and soon you'll be off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Hogwarts.
