Washington Post "Teacher Says" columnist Evelyn Vuko comes online every other Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET to talk about education issues.

Vuko is a certified teacher and school administrator. She has been an elementary and middle school teacher, a private school admissions director, a school principal, a substitute teacher, a part-time teacher and a private tutor for high school and college-aged students. She has worked in public, private and parochial schools in Pennsylvania, Florida and Maryland. Vuko's column, "Teacher Says," has been running in The Washington Post for over six years.
