Governor's Race
Parris N. Glendening was elected in 1994, with his running mate, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Republican challenger Ellen R. Sauerbrey came within 6,000 votes of winning. This year, as she and her running mate, Richard Bennett, campaign, experts predict another tight race.
