State Senate District 22
Maryland’s 47 state senators comprise the upper house of the General Assembly, which meets for 90 days each year in Annapolis. Along with the lower house, the House of Delegates, the senators consider more than 2,000 bills in a session, and they review and approve the state budget submitted by the governor. They serve four-year terms.

Why should voters elect you?
"Maryland needs to elect leaders, not politicians. Candidates must offer a vision for the future, along with concrete solutions. We must promote: a fair economy that includes a livable wage, not a minimum wage; job creation in sustainable sectors of the economy; and a progressive tax structure; livable communities by improving mass transit (connecting the outer 'spokes' of the metro system), providing universal health coverage (insuring quality as well as affordability), expanding funds for school construction to alleviate overcrowding and expanding environmental protections; and real democracy by reforming campaign financing laws and expanding ballot access."
What do you want voters to know about you?
"Advocating for a progressive 'Citizens Agenda' as well as bringing immediate, material improvements to the 22nd District-and all Marylanders-remain my priority."
Web site: None.
