State Senate District 25
Maryland’s 47 state senators comprise the upper house of the General Assembly, which meets for 90 days each year in Annapolis. Along with the lower house, the House of Delegates, the senators consider more than 2,000 bills in a session, and they review and approve the state budget submitted by the governor. They serve four-year terms.

I have initiated efforts to establish stronger gun control laws, strengthen laws to enforce child support payments, and have provided incentives to expand black business ownerships.
