Eileen M. Rehrmann dropped out of the race for the Democratic nomination. Gov. Parris N. Glendening (D) still faces physician Terry A. McGuire. Two Republicans, Howard County Executive Charles I. Ecker and former House Minority Leader Ellen R. Sauerbrey, are running.
