Prince William County Schools Last updated August 20, 1997 How do I register my child for school? Registration is handled by the school serving your area. You can call the Prince William County Public Schools Planning Office at 791-7273 to find the appropriate school. Bring a birth certificate, proof of a physical exam (required for students entering grades K-5), immunization records and a Social Security number. There is no fixed deadline for registering students, but children who will be 6 years old on or before Sept. 30 must attend school. The board meets publicly during the school year on the first, second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Independence Hill School Board Meeting Room, 14800 Joplin Rd., Manassas.
