Virginia Exit Poll Results - Vertical Table
The following are the complete results from an exit poll conducted Nov. 4 by Edison Media Research of New Jersey for The Washington Post, CNN, ABC and the Associated Press. Numbers represent percentages.
The results are presented in two tables.
Results in the vertical table below should be read column by column from the top. The table shows what percentage of each candidate's supporters gave the answers on the left. For example, this table will tell you that 49 percent of the voters who backed Republican James S. Gilmore III were male and 51 percent were female.
An accompanying horizontal table should be read across, row by row.
Percentages for different categories may not total to 100 due to rounding.
