VRE: Virginia Railway Express

February 14, 1997

VRE is a commuter rail service providing transportation from the Northern Virginia suburbs to Washington. VRE runs during peak commuting hours Monday through Friday. VRE Ten-Trip Tickets, Monthly Passes, and the VRE-TLC pass are also good on select Amtrak weekend and after-hours trains.

VRE and PRTC (The Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission) offer coordinated bus and rail service to Manassas and Prince William County.
