Protests Planned
Here are some of demonstrations planned along Pennsylvania Avenue and at other locations on Inauguration Day:

| International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism | A coalition that opposes the administration's domestic and foreign policies | A rally at John Marshall Park, Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, at 9 a.m. The group has threatened to sue to open other areas to demonstrators. |
| D.C. Anti-War Network (DAWN) | A network whose goal is the end of U.S. military intervention abroad and the end of attacks on freedoms at home. | A rally at Meridian Hill Park, 16th Street and Florida Avenue NW, at 9 a.m., followed at 11:15 a.m. by a march down 16th Street to McPherson Square. Civil disobedience planned across from Lafayette Square. |
| Critical Mass | Pro-bicycle advocates for the environment and for alternative energy sources. | Two bike rides through downtown streets; one starting at Union Station at 7:30 a.m., the second at Dupont Circle at 4 p.m. |
| Anarchist Resistance | Coalition of anarchists opposed to capitalism. | A "festive and rowdy march," to start at Franklin Square, 14th and K streets NW, at 12:30 p.m. |
| Turn Your Back on Bush | A mix of anti-Bush activists. | Protesters to find spots along the parade route and turn their backs on President Bush as he passes. |
| Not One Damn Dime Day | A protest of the inauguration and the war in Iraq. | A national, all-day boycott of all forms of consumer spending. |
| Committee to ReDefeat the President | An anti-Bush group that wants to highlight alleged voter suppression and fraud in the 2004 election. | A rally at the Jefferson Memorial featuring historical impersonators. A counter-inaugural ball is planned that night. |
| Billionaires for Bush | Satirical group protesting administration policies. | Performances at 10:30 a.m. at FDR Memorial. A ball is planned that night. |
