Inauguration Day No-Fly Zone
Small private planes will be banned from a 3,000-square-mile area over Washington and Baltimore from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 20, tripling the existing no-fly zone that normally extends 16 miles around the Washington Monument. Violators may be intercepted by military or customs aircraft and diverted to airports in Easton or Carroll County, Md., or Stafford in Virginia for questioning by federal agents.
