Bloom watch: Past cherry blossom bud development, 2002-present

On Wednesday, March 31, the National Park Service moved the beak bloom date for a third time in three weeks, up to March 31. The trees are expected to bloom between March 31 and April 11, though park service blossom expert Rob DeFeo said the bloom is moving very fast and may not last the full 14 days.
