Why should voters elect you? "I represent the Green agenda–take government away from corporations and give it back to the people. We have no corporate paymasters and take our cues from the voters. We want national health care, no privatization, deregulation, contracting out; no large projects without a referendum. Restore social safety net. Protect workers' right to organize and no permanent replacement of striking workers. Community service for nonviolent crimes. Affordable housing directed at low and very low incomes and renters. Buy recycled paper and increase recycling to 50 percent. Train and employ homeless to rehabilitate blighted housing. Full funding of public schools."

"During the five years I've been privileged to represent Ward 6 on the city council, I am particularly pleased to have prevented an amusement park from being built on Kingman and Heritage islands; rewritten the alcoholic beverage control law to allow greater citizen input into granting and renewing licenses; developed the nuisance property law that provides for stronger enforcement and allows the city to more quickly acquire or condemn nuisances; worked consistently to provide budget support to our schools, libraries, police and fire services; facilitated the new Bible Way senior housing and the planned senior wellness center in near Northeast."
