What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction? "Alexandria is facing prolonged and ever-increasing property tax bills! While the City Council continues to approve huge budget increases, many low- and middle-income people are losing home ownership due to the crushing weight of real estate tax bills needed to support this budget. It's out of control! Approving a budget with no more than a 3 percent increase is a good start to helping all Alexandrians with their tax bills. Limiting a budget increase to 3 percent will maintain the fine services our citizens enjoy, provide continued support for our schools and require the city to better manage its finances."
Why should voters elect you? "My wife and daughter are native Alexandrians. I arrived as a high school freshman. We love Alexandria! I have practical and financial experience to share."
