What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction? "The quality of Alexandria schools contributes greatly to the vitality of our city. The public schools in Alexandria are outstanding. I believe that they can become even better. We need to restore the community's confidence in Alexandria City Public Schools by demonstrating to the community that our children are receiving the best education possible and that their tax dollars are being spent wisely. Strong schools equal strong communities."

Why should voters elect you? "With 15-plus years' experience working with teachers, students and parents, I am most knowledgable about our schools and the strongest advocate for quality public education."
