What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction? "Alexandria is a great city, but regional changes put enormous pressures on our affordability, our transportation infrastructure and the costs of local government. Our region is projected to add 2 million residents over the next 20 years. We must work with our regional partners to plan for the long-term success of our city, to provide affordable housing so people of all walks of life can live here, to ensure taxes and the costs of government are sustainable and equitable and to guarantee our region has the needed multi-layered transportation system to support projected growth without destroying our quality of life."
Why should voters elect you? "We've accomplished much — schools, pedestrian safety and mass transit, small businesses, affordability and the environment. I'll work with you for solutions to accomplish more."
