Why should voters elect you?

"With 25 years experience working on national issues and campaigns, I have the skills to lead our effort to take this fight to the nation."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Statehood. As shadow senator, the critical issue for me is full voting representation in Congress. We need to get America to join our fight to have real senators and representatives that vote. We need to find creative ways to get our struggle for equal representation on the national agenda. Now is the time to end taxation without representation and finally fulfill the promise of equal democracy for all residents of the District of Columbia. The vast majority of Americans believe we have the right to full representation; now we must find ways to use their support to secure our rights."
