Why should voters elect you?
"Paul Strauss not only possesses the leadership and public service experience we need on the council, but also a personal stake in improving our schools."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"We are at a critical moment in the District where we must either improve our public schools or risk our future growth and development. Public education continues to be the District's No. 1 shortfall, and we must overcome this. We must continue to re-energize our communities and protect our citizens. Public safety, economic development and other key issues link directly back to education. When we achieve great schools we reduce crime, build a stellar workforce, energize our economy and give opportunities to those that haven't had them. We also create a place we can be proud to call home."
