Why should voters elect you?

"I am the only candidate who has the experience and track record of implementing successful school reform in a variety of districts across the country."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"We must reform our fiscal spending to ensure that our tax dollars benefit children in the classroom, fix our broken special education system, reintroduce vocational curricula while strengthening our college preparatory programs, and implement sustained, quality professional development to empower our teachers and principals to be some of the best in the country. As part of my job working on the front lines of educational reform for the past 10 years, I have seen what has worked in Boston, New York, Chicago and elsewhere, and bring the experience and know-how to put D.C. schools back on the right track."
