Why should voters elect you?
"I am a visionary leader with a fresh approach for bringing the entire ward together to address our biggest challenges -- education, safety, inclusive development."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"We must strengthen education. Our struggling public schools are the root cause of so many areas requiring improvement (e.g., public safety, job growth, economic development, mental and physical health, environmental care and protection, etc.). I am a strong proponent of increased mayoral control to improve D.C. public schools' accountability, responsiveness and competitiveness. The nation's capital cannot allow its children to be left behind. We must increase the likelihood of success for our DCPS students so that, upon graduation, they can take on productive roles in our community. Together, we can make it happen."
