What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Closing education achievement gaps is our most urgent problem — from pre-kindergarten through high school graduation, college access and completion. Graduation rates are dismal for too many minority students who will become our future workforce. Our schools must provide all students, including black and Latino students, with an equitable, quality education and ensure positive choices for their future. We have the wealth and resources; we have quality teachers, curricula, facilities and programs, yet schools leave too many kids out of quality classes with quality teachers. Time to stand and deliver an equitable education to all students in Maryland schools."
