Why should voters elect you?

"I have been a strong and effective advocate in Annapolis during my four-year term. With experience, I will accomplish even more the next term."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Problems relating to transportation, education and growth/development are the most urgent. We must promptly implement a comprehensive set of short- and long-term solutions to combat the region's congestion problem. The fiscal structure of our state must be redesigned to provide for a predictable revenue stream to fund critical projects. On the education front, we must eliminate the large-scale presence of unhealthy portable classrooms as well as class sizes in excess of 30. Finally, we must take steps to preserve open space. We do not want urban sprawl extending from the District to the Frederick County border."
