Why should voters elect you?

"I offer the citizens of the 23rd District a track record of proven success as a businessman and in city and county government."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Education is the most urgent issue facing the 23rd Legislative District. As a Prince George's County Council member, I have secured over $150 million in capital funding for new school seats and building improvements for my district. I have supported increased spending on teacher salaries and voted to fully fund the school budget for the first time in over 20 years. Also, I participated in the rally in Annapolis in 2004 when the Thornton funding was in jeopardy. For my efforts, I have been endorsed by the Prince George's County Educators' Association and the Maryland State Teachers Association."
