Why should voters elect you?
"Our delegates should understand community values and concerns. I will use my local connections and political experience to stand for progressive causes and deliver results."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Public education, traffic congestion and environmental protection are priority areas. In education, we must fulfill the promise of the Thornton Commission; close the achievement gap; make vocational education a priority; support after-school initiatives; respect our teachers with appropriate salary and benefits; and lower the costs of tuition at Maryland's colleges and universities. We need to couple smart growth incentives with investments in public transit — such as the Purple Line — in order to reduce congestion and preserve green space. I will also be an innovator to reduce health-care costs, expand coverage for the uninsured and improve care quality."
