Why should voters elect you?
"Independent leadership that can better manage growth; integrity; exceptional experience with proven record of significant accomplishments; consensus builder; uniquely strong working relationships with statewide leaders."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The pace and financing of the county's growth affect nearly every facet of our quality of life —- overcrowded classrooms, health and human services, and ability to spend time with families instead of sitting in traffic. I will work to reverse this trend by requiring developers to pay for a greater share of the costs growth imposes on our county. I will slow the pace of development, become more strategic in approval of growth projects and allow public facilities to catch up with development. Affordable housing and enhancing our environment are essential to maintaining our quality of life."
