Why should voters elect you?
"I will always champion the common good and the rights of the people — and bring passion, integrity, responsiveness and purpose to the Maryland Senate."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Many important problems demand our attention: how to dramatically lower greenhouse gas emissions, promote excellent education from pre-kindergarten through university, provide high-quality health care and living wages to all Marylanders, protect small businesses, defend affordable housing, develop a high-performance transportation system (including the Purple Line) and expand democracy with 100 percent voter registration and sweeping campaign finance reform. But the most urgent task we face is promoting visionary political leadership and public participation to creatively address these other problems. I want to galvanize citizens and leaders to transcend business-as-usual politics to work for the future Maryland deserves."
