Why should voters elect you?
"I have proven executive leadership, proven fiscal responsibility with billion-dollar budgets, decades of commitment to public education and our seniors, and a fierce independence."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Transportation is the compelling issue. The Metro extension, the ICC, the Purple Line, MARC train system upgrades, light rail extensions, improved municipal and suburban bus service, and all variations of multi-modal transportation must be integrated into a viable plan to immediately address transportation needs. We must apportion resources wisely, ensure contracts are fair and reasonable, plan that we do not over-allocate federal funds to any single project, and move quickly to alleviate pressures of emerging gridlocks and new growth. I will only cast my vote on the Board of Public Works for transportation projects that benefit all of our citizens."
