Why should voters elect you?

"I will bring experience of 38 years as a teacher, human rights coordinator and trainer, principal, community worker and a speaker of Spanish and French."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Preparing all students to pass standardized examinations, particularly the high school assessments, while still providing a comprehensive curriculum to prepare students for careers or for post-high school training. Concerns include conducting challenging courses for students while recognizing the need for appropriate studies for speakers new to English and special-needs students. The achievement difference among Hispanic and African American students and white and Asian American students must be addressed successfully. The school system should continue its excellent teacher training, the Skillful Teacher, and administrator inservice on observation and supervision."
