Why should voters elect you?

"My commitment to education and kids in my 28 years as an HCPSS administrator, teacher and parent gives me a unique and realistic perspective."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The most urgent issue is ensuring that all students are prepared to pass the assessments, which are now a graduation requirement. By meeting the needs of each of our students, the achievement gap among student groups will be eliminated and all of our students will be successful and get a high school diploma. Part of this endeavor is ensuring that we hire and retain the best and most dedicated teachers. We need to pay our teachers competitively and provide them with ongoing, meaningful professional development. Class sizes must be reduced to provide for optimum learning."
