Why should voters elect you?

"I am the strongest progressive leader for our district's future, proud to be the choice of nearly every organization that has endorsed in this race."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Education is my top priority, but access to affordable health care and prescription drugs is the most urgent issue facing Maryland. Nearly 700,000 Marylanders do not have insurance, including 36 percent of Hispanic Americans, 16 percent of African Americans and 19 percent of children. Health-care costs are increasing faster than wages, meaning more working families are unable to afford coverage. Rising drug prices account for over 30 percent of the increases, especially harming seniors. We must join other states and enact a Maryland universal health-care plan now! I will lead the fight for affordable health-care for every Maryland resident."
