Why should voters elect you?
"Nina Basu is a dynamic, tireless and progressive advocate for all citizens. Growing up in Howard County, Nina is a voice for Howard County."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Growth is the most urgent issue facing District 13. Immediate pressures of sprawl and additional residents anticipated due to base realignment and closure drives community concerns. First, I advocate a comprehensive transportation plan, including mass transit and smart traffic solutions for reducing road congestion. Second, I advocate smart growth in accordance with community goals and aesthetics. Third, I advocate preserving open space within our communities. Fourth, I advocate partnering with Anne Arundel County to create joint transportation and housing options, and to encourage retail and defense-related business growth around the Fort Meade perimeter."
