Why should voters elect you?
"I will continue to use my leadership and effectiveness to make Montgomery County an even better place to live, raise a family and do business."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Our education and transportation infrastructure has not kept up with development. Although I have successfully helped quadruple state funding to build new, and renovate old, county schools since 2004 and increase state K-12 education funding to Montgomery County by 47 percent during my four-year term, much more needs to be done to ensure a quality, healthy learning environment. We also need more than the ICC as a transportation solution to address the traffic gridlock, such as light rail from Shady Grove Metro to Frederick, the Purple Line, telecommuting incentives for businesses and making the MARC train even more viable."
