Why should voters elect you?

"Voters have a clear choice between a control-growth, pro-environment, pro-consumer Democrat and a pro-growth, anti-environment Bush delegate, House Republican staffer. This year vote Democratic!"

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The biggest problem facing the county is that we allowed too much growth too long. My Republican opponent, Mr. Denis, was a major contributor to this problem. He was the deciding vote to lift controls on growth, even allowing growth to exceed 100 percent of school capacity. His votes occurred less than a year after he received more campaign contributions from developers than any other member of the County Council, over $170,000. As a result, development has outpaced our road and school capacity, making a mockery of our Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance. We need a change."
