Why should voters elect you?
"I have the legislative experience, innovative ideas and strong leadership to move Maryland forward and fight for Montgomery County’s fair share of state dollars."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Health care. With 800,000 Marylanders without health insurance and tens of thousands of families, workers and seniors without adequate prescription drug coverage, Maryland needs strong leadership for health-care reform. Having lived without health insurance as a child, I understand the hardships and health-care challenges that we face, and I am committed to improving the quality, affordability and accessibility of health care for all Marylanders. My work on health care in Congress and in our community has brought me the endorsement of many leaders, including Congressman John Conyers, Congress's leader on health-care reform. Together we can do it!"
