Why should voters elect you?
"Eight years of accomplishments, including teen-driving safety, pedestrian-traffic safety, energy conservation, environmental protection, substance abuse prevention, public health, smart growth, transportation and education funding."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Livable, sustainable and healthy communities: With 1 million more people projected to live in Maryland by 2020, we must embrace the principles of smart growth to discourage sprawl and preserve open spaces, provide a more transit-oriented and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure that keeps pace with growth and eases traffic congestion, and combat global warming with policies promoting clean air, renewable energy and green buildings. We need a far more robust transportation budget to meet our many transit, roadway, pedestrian-bicycle access and highway safety needs, and we must invest more education funding to relieve school overcrowding and to modernize older schools."
