Elected offices/civic activities:
Member, Prince William Board of County Supervisors, Occoquan District, 2003-present; parishoner, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church; member, Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments board, 2003-05; Potomac and Rappahhannock Transportation Comm.
Why should voters elect you?
"As Occoquan supervisor, I fought to control residential growth. As chairman, I will require developers to pay more for road and school improvements."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Uncontrolled residential growth and development without adequate transportation and school improvements. Uncontrolled growth is congesting our roads, crowding our schools and overwhelming our police and fire and rescue services. Most of this growth is occuring in areas that are already congested, such as the Linton Hall Road, Route 28, Route 29 and Route 1 corridors. In addition, county regulations do not require developers to preserve wooded and other open space areas, and families have few places to enjoy the outdoors. Taxpayers are left to pick up the burden. If developers do not pay for the cost of development, you do."
