Why should voters elect you?

"Arlington needs new visionary leadership, not more one-party rule. As the Green Party candidate, I'm proposing bold initiatives to meet challenges facing our community."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Arlington's most urgent challenge is our affordable-housing crisis. We've lost more than 50 percent of our affordable-housing stock in the past five years and homeowners' tax assessments have more than doubled in the past six years. The County Board is working with developers to gentrify Arlington, making it difficult for working- and middle-class families and residents and those on fixed incomes to remain. We need a moratorium on the destruction of affordable housing and greater tax rebates for overburdened homeowners, otherwise Arlington will be drained of the economic and cultural diversity that makes our community special."
