Metro riders should expect to see increased security patrols after a series of explosions in London on its subway and bus systems this morning.

Spokeswoman Candace Smith said passengers should expect to see increased police patrols, bomb sniffing dogs and officers carrying machine guns.

Smith said they will also be searching buses, stations and trains for anything suspicious and are also asking passengers to report any suspicious activity immediately to 202-962-2121.
