Known almost entirely by word of mouth, this institution draws most new residents of Washington  at least once, and often within a few weeks of arriving. It's a perfect place to begin or end an evening out, relax on a weekend morning or just drop in solo when you have a few minutes to grab a good book and maybe a cappuccino. Although the main museum has been open for more than a year, the curators of the Udvar-Hazy Center have slowly been refining the displays. Late last  year, they unveiled a wing dedicated to space travel. The hundreds of space travel artifacts include the shuttle Enterprise, displays on human spaceflight, satellites and rockets.
